Olivia Ramsbottom - Admissions Manager

What I can help with

I'm the Admissions Manager at the University of Derby, which means that I'm responsible for the day-to-day running of the Admissions section and operational planning for our future.

I have the responsibility for consulting on and drawing up the Admissions Policy for the University and making sure that we're compliant with best practice in managing a high quality and fair admissions procedure.

I also make sure that we're meeting targets for considering applications as a University, and monitoring and reporting any problems so that we reduce any adverse impact on applicants.

I'm proud of the Admissions section's commitment to innovative ways to improve the applicant experience. For example, we currently operate a paperless admissions process for 80% of our applications. This means that we manage most of the applications process electronically, cutting the time from application to admission. We ensure that applicants have as much time as possible to make important decisions about their university career.

If you've any queries or complaints about the way we manage the admissions process at the University of Derby, you should contact me!
