Team Derby is the University of Derby's sport brand; it is the focal point for the development and delivery of sport at Derby. Team Derby provides students, staff, and members of the public with a world of sporting opportunity, fitness and activity.
Our inclusive attitude to sport, exercise and health shows we believe passionately in the ethos of sport for all.
Still in its early stage, Team Derby is fast developing a strong reputation for increasing participation and raising the level of performance.
Sport has a place for everyone, winning isn't everything but we believe enjoyment is. We are proud to develop talent on and off the field, and we value participation just as much as we do trophies.
Our facilities are being developed to cater for students of all abilities, from students competing in the Commonwealth Games to those who have only a fledging interest in sports, health, and exercise, make sure you visit Team Derby Fitness our new fitness facility
Our commitment is to develop performance, participation, and opportunities to allow you to involve yourself in sport at whatever level you choose.
Team Derby complements the academic departments involved in sport, and the Athletic Union. The Athletic Union is the sport delivery service of the University and provides students with range of services ranging joining sports clubs to representing the University in national competitions.
