Sport at the University of Derby is delivered via Team Derby
Whether you are a committed sports person who wants to represent the university in competitive sport, someone who wants to try a new sport or would like to get back into sport after a few years off, then we have a range of opportunities for you. You can join one of many university sports teams at freshers fair or all year round by visiting the students union; you can see a list of sports clubs here.
You can represent the University in individual competitions if there isn't a sports team, we will cover your costs, and entry fees for all British University and Colleges Sport competitions visit www.bucs.org.uk to find out what sports are on offer.

Students' Union
The Students' Union's Athletic Union (AU) is responsible for student-led sport and for representing students issues on sport. There's a wide range of different sports clubs to join ranging from American Football to Cricket. We also run weekly intramural sports leagues if you are interested in getting healthy and playing sport at a less competitive level.
