Academic work

A set of wooden steps rising up through the trees

It is easy to become distracted during the early weeks of term and to forget that you are here to further your education.

Evidence and experience shows that waiting until assignment deadlines are almost upon you tends to increase your stress levels and lower your academic achievement.

Even if you are someone who thrives on the pressure of working against a deadline, you will find it more helpful to have done some of the reading in preparation for starting work.

Use the reading lists that are supplied at the start of each module to make an early start on your assignment. You will find that this helps to reduce your stress and you will enjoy university life even more as a result.
