What is Get Ahead?

Get ahead is a two day event which takes place just before the start of the academic year.

The event is for any student who has a disability, long term health condition, specific learning difficulty eg dyslexia, an autistic spectrum disorder or mental illness and aims to give you the best possible start to your studies at the University of Derby.

  • Information , campus and library tours to help you to find your way around
  • Workshop and social events

Students moving into halls of residence

Students who are moving into halls can move in on the afternoon of Wednesday 11 September at no extra cost. During the afternoon and evening you'll have the opportunity to attend:

  • Orientation to halls
  • Welcome evening
