Support that is available to you
There are a number of ways that we can support you while you are at university
Some of the types of support that we provide:
- A support worker who will meet with you regularly to provide you with one to one support
- Run a group for people with autistic spectrum disorders so you can meet other people with similar experiences
- Maps of our buildings and arrange for you to have a tour when the buildings are quiet
- Make sure you understand assignment and exam questions if they are written in ambiguous language
- A note taker for lectures or record lectures for you
- Lecture notes written by your lecturer
- Specialist equipment and software to help you
- Give you extra time in exams
- Help prepare you for the change in routines that happens at the end and beginning of each term and during exam periods
