Local dentists
If you're under 19 and a full time student all NHS dental treatment is free. If you're 19 or over treatment is chargeable but at different rates depending on whether you're attending a private or NHS dentist. If you have an exemption certificate it may be possible to have treatment from either private or NHS dentists, but please discuss with the dentist prior to treatment as they vary. Private charges cannot be reclaimed.
If you're not registered with a local dentist, this may lead to a longer wait if emergency dental care is required while you are in Derby.

Emergency dental treatment
Coleman Street dental clinic provides emergency dental treatment to all students who aren't registered with a local dentist.
