Setting up your support
The Student Wellbeing Service will work with you to create your Support Plan. We encourage you to contact us as soon as possible to discuss your support.
A Support Plan is a document that outlines the support you need e.g. extra time in exams, extended book loan. We provide a copies for you and your academic staff and other departments so they can make any necessary adjustments to meet your needs.
The Support Plan is the key document for ensuring that you get the support you need.
Support Plans are valid for the whole of your course but it can be updated if your needs change or if you change your course.
To set up a support plan please contact the Student Wellbeing Service - you can find our contact details here.
Once you have had your DSA approved we will also help you to organise your non medical helper support and purchase your equipment etc. For more information on what this support may entail please see here.
