Cutting
If you have cut yourself deeply and cannot stop bleeding you should immediately call 999 or make your way to the nearest Accident and Emergency Department.
I'm trying not to cut but I'm finding it hard to resist
Try to find ways to relax that work for you, if you can reduce your anxiety the impulse to cut will also reduce. You can find some relaxation exercises and podcasts here. Remind yourself of the reasons why you don't want to cut - explain to the part of your brain that is encouraging you to cut why you don't want to do it.
Distract yourself - Creativity is a powerful tool against despair. This doesn't have to be about making something. Whatever lifts you out of your pain and makes you feel good is creative. If you feel like it, try drawing or painting how you feel. Some people draw on themselves, using bright body colours
Exercise can help reduce your anxiety, raise your mood and make it easier to manage your feelings
