I teach on the BA (Hons) Applied Social Work Degree. My modules include Adult sSrvices and Assessment of Needs, Risks and Vulnerability. I also teach on the Legal Perspectives Module and am developing a module around Substance Use. I have a special interest in adult services, especially around the personalisation agenda as well as student/staff disability issues.
I am a registered social worker with the HCPC and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

My early career was within the sales industry where I developed and managed sales teams. This included teams within the computer and brewery industries.
Since 1987 I have worked in the social care field in a range of roles, ranging from direct support worker to managing a day centre for adults with learning disabilities.
