I joined the Hospitality, Resort and Spa Management team in September 2012 to teach on the Business and Management modules which are included in all degree programmes.
I'm Module Leader for undergraduate Business and Management modules (Business Development and Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management) as well as the PR and Emarketing module on the Events programme. I also teach on other Business and Management modules such as Finance in the Service Industries.
I am a Programme Leader, Personal Tutor and dissertation supervisor.
Lecturer on Business and Management modules through degree programmes. Expert in services management, services marketing.
I'm currently working on my PhD which will conceptualise 'Management' in the Hospitality Industry and recommend ways to train and develop an effective Hospitality Manager.

After graduation I worked in management positions. I worked for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (1997-2001), the Medical Research Council (2002-2004) and the University of Derby (2004-2012). I launched my own training and consultancy business in 2006, and provided training, development and consultancy services to a number of clients including medical registrars, managers in a police force, supervisors and managers in a steel company, small/owner managed businesses in North Derbyshire and the Great Ormond Street Hospital.
I'm an expert in project management (including events management), human resource management, marketing and customer relationship management. I'm also a recognised expert in managing university Clearing operations and major change and restructuring projects.
I am a key contact for the Botswana Accountancy College which offers all of the Business and Management modules as part of their delivery of the University's International Tourism Management, International Hospitality Management and International Salon Management programmes.
