I have taught at the University of Derby since 2012. Prior to this, I spent around 25 years working at a senior management level in the logistics sector.

I have worked in parcels and pallet distribution as well as third-party logistics and for companies including Parceline, Geodis and Littlewoods.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach on a number of Logistics and Supply Chain and Operations Management programmes.

I teach on all levels from first-year undergraduate to postgraduate.

Research interests

My current research interests include:

• Reducing the impact of empty running in freight transport
• Consolidation centres
