Position: Senior Lecturer in ITE & Partnership Manager
College: College of Arts, Humanities and Education
I teach on the B.Ed. and PGCE course. I am also part of the partnership development team. Our remit is to strengthen our already excellent partnership that we have with schools.
I teach across all the B.Ed. programme and on the PGCE programme. Currently, I lead B.Ed. Year 2 reflective teaching module and most of my other teaching is in English across the year groups.
I am a member of Voices, a European Network of Teachers and Teacher Educators. The thematic field I am working in is adressing the notion of a European teacher identity.
I have researched the effects of a physical literacy programme as part of a phonics intervention programme for my MA disertation. Other areas of research have centred around boys and reading and changing children's spaces. Currently, I am looking at the language teachers use when grouping children and the negative effects this can have on the teaching and learning in the classroom.
