About

I am Programme Leader for the suite of Post-14 Further Education and Skills (FES) Initial Teacher Education programmes. This role involves me overseeing the progress of trainee teachers who study the programme at the university and those studying validated programmes at our partner colleges. 

I also teach and assess the Post-14 PGCE programme, ensuring that trainees are not only benefiting from the theoretical input but also the modelling of effective teaching practice. 

As a Sport and PE specialist, I lead the specialist Sport Pathway on the Post 14 FES programmes and a link tutor for PE trainees on the Secondary School Direct programme. 

 

Teaching responsibilities

I teach and assess across a range of modules on the Post-14 FES ITE programmes. 

Research interests

I am a PhD candidate in Education and have an interest in 'generic, transferable skills' in the Further Education sector.

Membership of professional bodies

I am a Member of the Society for Education and Training and hold QTLS
