I am currently in the last year of my PhD, with teaching commitments in enterprise. As well as this, I pursue extra research opportunities and support my colleagues within the Centre for Entrepreneurial Management to deliver the national project SPEED.
Teaching responsibilities
The teaching commitment within the PhD is in assisting my colleagues Rob Moon and Simon Gee with the Enterprise modules, NVP and our student business start-up funding programme, SPEED - Student Placements for Entrepreneurs in Education, as well as managing and developing our DICE Entrepreneurs Club, BrainBank Sessions and our 'Enterprising Experience' events.

Student entrepreneurship, new business start-up incubation and new business advice and support
Research interests
Student intentions, career choices, student enterprise and entrepreneurship education.
Recent Conferences
I attended and presented my paper at the World conference - ICSB in Turku, Finland in June 2007: The impact of an Entrepreneurial Summer School course on Art Graduates intentions towards setting up their own practice; A study following the Art Graduates entrepreneurial journey's over the duration of the course and 6 months after. Attending ISBE in November 2007 to present my paper on the experiences of our Derby students on SPEED
Additional Interests and Activities
