I have a variety of roles within the University including that of Assistant Manager for Therapeutic Arts and Complementary Medicine, Programme Leader, Admissions Tutor, Placement Co-ordinator and Supervisor for BA (Hons) Creative Expressive Therapies, Placement Supervisor for students on the MA Dramatherapy

I also offer Creative Supervision for a range of professionals, be they Therapists, Community Artists, Arts in Health practitioners.  Through this I offer a creative space in order to support reflection on practice whether it is within health, education, community or corporate settings.

Professional interests

While I have a professional background in Dramatherapy and in training Dramatherapists, I am also interested in the wider application of therapeutic arts theory and practice, to settings beyond the therapeutic realm: this includes the potential of creativity and expression in both arts and non arts based organisations, links between creativity and enterprise, creativity, metaphor and the importance of the relationship and team building within the organisation and corporate world, the potential of metaphor and creativity within coaching, wellbeing in relation to developments such as Every Child Matters and SEAL initiatives in education, personal narrative explored through the arts in relation to personal development planning and loss and bereavement.
