My duties include planning and delivering various modules in BA Hospitality Management, FdA Hotel Management and FdA Culinary Arts on campus and via e-learning.

Professional interests
I have worked in various sectors within the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, bars and theme parks in Japan, Switzerland and the UK. Although I have changed my career path to teaching, I still have a passion for hospitality and update my knowledge through research and being a customer!
Research interests
Due to my international background, I have a keen interest in cultural diversity within the University as well as in the hospitality industry. I have been researching the international students' experience at UK universities and using this research to provide good support structure for them. I am also about to embark on PhD research on managing cultural diversity within hospitality SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises).
International Experience
I am originally from Japan and studied English in the United States. After 5 years of full time employment in Japan, I lived in Switzerland for four years studying and working in the hospitality industry and educational institute before I came to England.
