Before entering education I managed a conference and incentive travel department specialising in conference and incentives, and trade fairs and exhibitions.

My subject knowledge is travel and tourism.
Professional interests
My professional interestes include the development of spa, hairdressing and beauty therapy programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, the impact of graduate skills on organisations and curriculum design, particularly Personal and Professional Development opportunities.
Research interests
The relationship between industry and higher education in the development of curriculum and the different use of knowledge in the workplace.
International Experience
I work closely with the Swiss Education Group, Switzerland's leading Hotel Management Group including the Swiss Hotel Management School and IHTTI providing world class education for students from around the world.
Membership of professional bodies and advisory committees
- Member of the Higher Education Academy as a registered practitioner.
- Chair of the Association of Spa, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy in Higher Education.
