I have worked full time, as a diagnostic radiographer for nine years before moving to the university sharing my time with part time hours working both in the clinical setting as a senior one radiographer and as a lecturer of Imaging here at the university.

I am currently a lecturer on the BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme. I teach on a variety of modules ranging from technology to skeletal image evaluation. I am a module leader for Principles of Radiographic Imaging 3 and a co-module leader for Developing Professional Practice 1 Module. I am also the co-module leader for the post graduate Radiographic Appendicular Image Analysis module.
Teaching responsibilities
Module leader and co module leader for three modules.
Professional interests
Appendicular Image interpretation, trauma Radiography, Cardiac and Interventional radiography and Technology (in association of imaging).
Research interests
- The application of practical aspects of course to technology enhanced learning
- The interpretation of radiographic images across all medical professions/allied health professions
Membership of professional bodies and advisory committees
I currently have membership to the Health, Care Professional Council (HcPC), the Society of Radiographers (SoR) and I am a fellow of the Higher Education Authority.
Recent Conferences
Presenting at the 'Achieving excellence in radiography education and research' conference in November 2012 a discussion and interpretation of 'one foot in each camp' surving the split academic/clinical role.
