Experience in Industry
I have significant experience of working in a wide variety of mental health settings, and continue to maintain active links with a variety of professionals, including occupational therapists, with in this setting.

I lecture on a variety of modules in the BSc (hons) occupational therapy and MSC Pre registration occupational therapy programmes, my other roles include marketing of occupational therapy programmes at the university.

Mental Health, Vocational Rehab, Social Inclusion, Therapeutic Use of Horticulture, Outdoor Pursuits and Conservation Work, Service User Involvement, Practice Placement Education, Emerging Roles for OT, including Homelessness, leadership, bordom.

I'm an active member of COT, including its specialist section for Mental Health, I'm also a member of the mental health charity 'Rethink'.
Recent Conferences
At the 2009 National COT conference 2009 I have presented on Occupational Therapy Student Placements in the Homelessness Sector, Boredom in Acute Mental Health Settings, and Student Experiences of the Two Educator To One Student Model of Placement Provision. At the same conference in 2008 I lead a workshop with a colleague on Using Creativity in Supervision. In 2010 I will be presenting a paper on leadership.
Additional Interests and Activities
In my spare time I enjoy DIY, walking in the peak district and gardening.
