I am a Lecturer/Co-ordinator in the Step 2 Department at Buxton College of Further Education teaching Literacy, Sport and Life Skills both on campus at Buxton and at outreach centres in Glossop.
Professional interests
I am Chair of High Peak Disability Sports Group which aims to consult with disabled people, promote opportunities in sport and encourage sports clubs, coaches and volunteers to work with disabled people.
Research interests
Presented a poster at the LTA conference, July 2008, entitled 'On the sidelines - widening participation in sport and physical activity for disabled students'.
Membership of professional bodies and advisory committees
Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) Advanced Instructor.
Additional Interests and Activities
I am a sports coach and tutor specialising in disability sport, teaching swimming, aqua fit and chair exercise. I am team manager of High Peak Sharks, for swimmers with disabilities.
