Prior to joining the education sector, I held senior positions with two major UK companies and developed my own internet consultancy business.

I am currently the Subject Manager for the Tourism, Hospitality, Events and Spa programmes at the University of Derby Buxton and I draw on my extensive industry experience to ensure that programmes in these areas develop the relevant skills and subject expertise to ensure graduates are equipped to enter the world of work immediately on completion of their studies.
Teaching responsibilities
I teach predominately on the postgraduate programmes at Buxton with a focus on operations and quality management

Cultural differences and the impact of these on operations and quality management in the hospitality industry
