Professional interests
- Electronic and embedded system design, electronic and engineering education, including the application of problem-based learning.
- Designer of the Derbot - the Derby Robot - an educational autonomous guided vehicle which can be used from introductory embedded systems teaching, right up to advanced postgraduate and research projects. The Derbot design is featured in an annual Derbot Challenge event.
Research interests
Research interests are centred on small-scale embedded systems, very low power electronic systems, and engineering education.
