Research interests
My research explores characterisation, storytelling and visual narratives. As a practicing freelance illustrator my work is underpinned by my professional experiences. The influences on my work come from real life observations, through media, overheard conversations and my own curiosities with people, dialogue and humor. Exploring images that naturally explore humour, and making comment on my own experiences. The artwork is created using a variety of media drawing, printmaking, and digital media but it all stems from my sketchbooks that I obsessively carry around with on a day-to-day basis.
