Hi, I'm Mike and I'm the Student Liaison Officer for the Faculty of Business, Computing and Law.
At Derby we offer a wide range of support services and have an extensive support network that I'm a part of. It all helps you to make the most of your time here and to enable you to reach your full potential. However, when things aren't going well it's sometimes hard to know where to go for help - and that's where I come in!
The main purpose of my role is to help and assist you while you study here. Although I'm not an academic, you can talk to me about anything that's bothering you - in confidence.
I've been a student here for four years and I know some of the challenges that you may face. So, if you aren't sure who or what to ask, ask me and I'll point you in the right direction.
