As a senior lecturer within the School of Technology, my role is split between the traditional face to face teaching and the coordination (and tutoring within) the Learning Through Work provision across the Faculty of Arts, Design and Technology. www.learningthroughwork.org
Teaching responsibilities
The teaching of Materials Technology and Engineering Science to a range of Engineering and Design students as well as, the tutoring of learners through individually designed programmes and or short courses related to their role(s) in the workplace.
I also contribute significantly to the development of cohort programmes (usually short awards) attending to the needs of industry through the employers.

Research interests
Sustainable Development, Alternative Energy Sources, moving away from fosssil fuels, Cradle to Grave aspect of products including Life Cycle Analysis.
