Professional interests
I combine lecturing with architectural practice and am interested in links between mathematics and architectural design. This has led to running maths and architecture summer schools for Aimhigher Derbyshire and Derby City Council. I am also interested in the difference between the public perception of mathematics and mathematics in the real world. I devised the Check it Out Maths DVD which shows interviews I had with maths graduates at their place of work. The interviews are on the University website.
