Teaching responsibilities
First year tutor for BA Film Studies and BA Film and Television Studies. Runs the module Introduction to the Moving Image which provides students with the basic concepts for analysing film and television. He also contributes a block on realism to the second year core module dealing with critical approaches to film and television.

Research interests
The application of theories of realism to British cinema and television. He is currently involved both in research on the national dimension of British television and on the transnational circulation of the horror film.
