My varied academic, research, audit and quality assurance background give me a holistic approach to assessment in Higher Education. I have personal experience of teaching and assessment both face to face and by distance learning, as well as writing and reviewing regulations. I hope that this will help me to facilitate the conversation between regulation and academic practice, making efficiencies of process and improving consistency of application. In the Assessment and Awards Unit I am involved in appeals, assessment processes, awards and projects such as extenuating circumstances, classification and online learning.
