Faculty: Arts, Design and Technology
School: School of Technology
Subject Area: Engineering
My role is mainly teaching within the engineering subject area including Product/Mechanical Design and Motorsport. I am also involved in project supervisions, delivery of short courses and general academic duties.
Teaching responsibilities
I teach on various modules within the engineering subject group such as Analytical Methods for Engineers, Structural Analysis, Engineering Design and Computer Aided Design and Visualisation.
Professional interests
My professional interests are mechanical and innovation design, also the latest CAD and ICT technologies including: 2D/3D/4D modelling; Virtual Reality; as well as Parametric Modelling.
Research interests
My research interests are mainly within online learning and the development of intelligent and individualised systems for CAD education; where students are able to understand design concepts, perform different tasks, and therefore achieve the learning outcomes of individual modules. Their performance is continuously being evaluated and guided through appropriate online assessment according to their learning styles, knowledge and needs.
Membership of professional bodies and advisory committees
Fellow Member of the Higher Education Academy.
