Experience in Industry
I began my career in Banking, then after reaching managerial level, I moved into Newspapers. I held several senior management roles, across a number of disciplines including HR and Learning and Development. Before coming to Derby, I worked in education management and as a lecturer in the private sector.

Subject Area: Human Resource Management
I teach across the levels, on Developing Skills for Business Leadership, Corporate Social Responsibility, Managing Human Resourcing, Employability, Reward and Performance, and Business Skills.
I am also involved in delivering corporate programmes to business for University of Derby Corporate
Supporting the Faculty and School vision:
I do this by encouraging students to become independent learners, I fully support them in fulfilling their potential. By applying creative teaching practices, I deliver a variety of subjects that enhance students employability. I focus on application of academic theory in order to bring the theoretical to life, to give a rounded and rewarding student experience.

I enjoy being with people, and every aspect of networking. Fortunately my role allows me to spend many hours with students and colleagues. Out of work I like music, of any sort, preferably live. I also enjoy driving anything fast!
