I provide support to both students and academics throughout the placement process and help to develop links with placement hosts by giving them a point of contact within the University. I've been able to build a database of viable contacts within the Faculty which provides a valuable starting point for students wishing to find placement opportunities.
Providing support for students can often be of a pastoral nature sometimes dealing with problems which may arise unless they are subject specific and all other avenues have been explored.
My main focus being FdAs within design and media I also administer BA (Hons) Fashion placements and the University’s Diploma in Professional Practice supporting students who wish spend a year in industry developing skills and gaining experience between Stages 2 and 3.
