I am currently programme leader for the MSc in Occupationl Therapy (Pre-registration) and module leader for the MSc pre-registration Independent Scholarship, and Influences Upon Practice modules, Module Leader for the Independent Scholarship module as BSc Level, and module leader for Management of change at post graduate MSc level. I also teach across faculty on the interprofessional learning 1 module at undergraduate level.
Professional interests
My professional interests lie in exploring the occupational impact of chronic and life threatening illness, how people 'live' with these conditions and how occupational therapy may contribute to this.
I am also interested in exploring new employment opportunities for graduate occupational therapists in both traditional and non traditional arenas of practice, in particular opportunities afforded through the third sector ie independent practice, social enterprise and the voluntary/charitable sector.
I am also keen to develop opportunities for interprofessional learning within post graduate pre-registration programmes.
Membership of professional bodies and advisory committees
I am a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists, and the research and ethics committee at a school level within the University.
