About the course

You'll develop expert knowledge in coaching elite populations, sports physiology, sports psychology, posture ergonomics, nutrition, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation and academic research.

You'll learn how to analyse, synthesise and evaluate coaches and their programmes, and to design your own coaching solutions. You'll explore the themes of sports coaching from a physiological, psychological, biomechanical and injury prevention perspective.

Your career

On completion of this course you'll be qualified to work in the coaching industry, where you could work with elite performance programmes. As a graduate of our unique masters programme you will be qualified to: 

  • Prepare, deliver and review coaching sessions.
  • Plan, implement, analyse and revise long term/specialist elite coaching programmes.
  • Generate, direct and manage cutting edge coaching solutions for elite populations.
