You can have the opportunity to undertake a negotiated programme of research leading to the award of either a Master of Philosophy degree or a Doctor of Philosophy degree. These higher degrees are awarded in recognition of a successful period of research training normally culminating in the production of a thesis.

The Centre for Psychological Research

This is a group of active research psychologists. They conduct a wide range of pure and applied psychological research with particular strengths in cognitive, health, pedagogic and social psychology, and the psychology of mental health and paranormal phenomena.

Research office

Research office

The research office is responsible for helping advise and guide students through their programmes. The team deals with enquiries, admissions, and enrolment of students on an annual basis, as well as offering advice and information on regulations, policies and procedures. It's based on ground floor of B Block at Kedleston Road.
