Galleries of Justice

Induction week trip

As part of the Forensic Science and Forensic Science with Criminology induction week, lecturers Jon Wright and Helen Martin took students on a trip to the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham. The Galleries of Justice provides an entertaining and educating look at the history of crime and punishment in England. The trip was followed by time for shopping or a quiet drink. This gave students the chance to meet other students on their course.

What our students think

"I loved the visit! The turn key scared me, LOL! Well worth going, would definitely recommend it to future students."

"I enjoyed the visit as a whole. I particularly enjoyed the actors. I would recommend a future visit to anyone. I also enjoyed the pub afterwards and found it an effective icebreaker."

"The trip was very good, and a very good way to introduce the course, and fellow students in a relaxed atmosphere."

"I thought the trip was really interesting. It was also really fun ‐ and i thought it was a great way to get to know the other students, as we got to interact with the actors on the tour. I think it should be available to future years and students. I did think the quiz we were given was quite quaint and entertaining and ensured we paid attention during the tours."
