Environmental science at Derby is now focused primarily at postgraduate level with some undergraduate courses. We cover a range of specialist disciplines, these include:

- Environmental Hazards (in the joint honours scheme at undergraduate level)
- Environmental Health
- Environmental Management

Fieldwork opportunities
You'll get first-hand experience of environmental issues by going on field visits to a range of natural and anthropogenic sourced contaminated sites and industrial locations to appreciate pollution management strategies.
You'll also go on guided study visits to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities (such as the BGS laboratories) and go to specialist guest lectures, from organisations such as the Environment Agency and Derby City Council.
