  • Our specialist facilities include 55 acres of mixed terrain, including dry stone walls, moorland landscapes, and broad-leaved woodlands
  • Fieldtrips help prepare you for the workplace – you could find yourself rock climbing in Snowdonia or caving in the Yorkshire Dales
  • Our specialist Outdoor Leadership Centre, Oaklands Manor, boasts a 30 foot climbing wall, a high rope course with multiple elements and three low rope courses, and an artificial underground caving course
  • You’ll learn from highly qualified experts who have a wealth of professional experience in outdoor and adventure sport as instructors, leaders and coaches
  • Placement opportunities will help you to put your into practice by working with partners such as No Limits Adventure, The Outward Bound Trust, Acclimatise Adventure Company and Peak Mountain Training

Our BA (Hons) Outdoor Leadership and Management course helps prepare you for a professional career in areas such as outdoor facility management, outdoor activity instruction, youth work and outdoor sport development. If you choose to pursue our BSc (Hons) Adventure Sport and Coaching Science course, you could go on to work in a variety of fields, such as coaching and instructing adventure sport, overseas leadership and expedition leadership
