About our BSc (Hons) Forensic Science course
Our BSc (Hons) Forensic Science course gives you the opportunity to cover key forensic practices such as crime scene investigation, human tissue analysis and fingerprint analysis. The course is fully accredited by The Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and is also endorsed by Forensic Skillsmark, this demonstrates the standard of quality that you can expect to receive as your learning will be topical and relevant. Between your second and third year, you can apply to work in the industry, this will give you a great opportunity to use your theoretical and practical skills. We've got specialist forensic, biological and chemical laboratories, so we'll really give you a solid grounding in forensic sciences. You will be able to practice the whole process of collecting forensic evidence and then be cross-examined in court.

About our BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with Criminology course
Our BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with Criminology course is perfect for you if you're interested in forensics and topics such as the causes of criminal behaviour, whether criminals are born or made and the legal aspects of forensic science, including the court process and the roles of the judge, jury and witnesses. You'll have access to our new specialist training facilities and will be taught through lectures, practical sessions, fieldtrips, crime scene training, your own study, continuous assessments and exams. In the National Student Survey 2014, 100% of students said that they were satisfied with the overal quality of this course.
About our BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with Psychology course
Our BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with Psychology course aims to balance your understanding of crime detection with an insight into the criminal mind and behaviour. We hold a Class A drugs licence and firearms licence, these elements of the course provide you with a realistic forensics training environment. As part of the course you will also have the opportunity to observe a post mortem and present evidence in our mock courtroom. The diversity of learning that this offers prepares you for a range of exciting career opportunities in law, local constabularies, criminal justice systems and many more. In the National Student Survey 2014, 95% of students said that they were satisfied with the overal quality of this course.
