Credit-bearing Modules
There are five full modules which are set out below. The first four are divided into the core principles which are critical and an essential part of the New Route PhD programme and the case studies which are optional. This enables you to decide whether you want to follow through the case studies in all of the modules or just take a minimum of two sets of case studies.
Alternatively Traditional Route PhD students are eligible to view these modules on a zero-credit, non-assessed, no-fee basis.
To access any of the above modules you should seek the authorisation of your Director of Studies by completing an RD04a module selection form, available from the Forms page of the website. Please ensure that you complete the start and end dates for each module. The Research Office will complete the module codes.
Only select the modules you wish to access for the current academic year. Modules that you wish to access in the next academic year should be requested in the academic year that you wish to access them.
Please note that if you do not complete the module by the end date, your assessment result will be a referral.
The completed and authorised form should be forwarded to the Research Office. The Research Office will inform you by e-mail when your access has been set up. You access the modules in Blackboard via UDO using your student UDO user name and password. You need to ensure that your student network user ID and password are working. If you experience problems with your student network user ID and password you should either contact the Library, UDO or log a job with the IT Service Desk.
