Annual Research Conference

This will be the eighth Annual Research Conference, and you are warmly invited to attend. We always try to arrange a conference which has plenty of interest for everyone, and this is no exception. Once again it is being held at the Riverside Conference Centre, which accommodates us nicely and gives us good hospitality.
At the heart of this conference will be sessions which showcase the impact of excellent research conducted at Derby. Each prospective REF unit of assessment will be organising a series of talks in which researchers explain how their research has brought social, cultural or economic benefits to Society.
In addition we will have the Special Lecture, this year given by Professor Karim Vahed, Professor of Entomology; a series of discussion groups exploring different aspects of research activity; and of course we will open with an update on the progress achieved this past year and consider research strategy. The Annual Research Conference is the best possible opportunity to network and meet other researchers, so this is not an occasion to miss.
