There are two modules to complete:

1) Operational Methods for Quantity Surveyors:
Upon successful completion of this module the employee will be able to:
Apply a range of methods conceptualising how a variety of construction techniques are used.
Critically evaluate the importance of service elements in modern buildings.
Demonstrate an ability to assimilate health and safety construction site issues.
Demonstrate informed knowledge in the absence of complete data from contractual documents.

2) Contractual procedures for Quantity Surveyors:
Upon successful completion of this module the employee will be able to:
Formulate and develop appropriate strategy for measuring and ascertaining quantities from contract documents including the calculation of unit rates.

  • Process Valuations, day-work recording and loss and expense claims.
  • Investigate and evaluate methods of settling construction disputes.
  • Demonstrate a critical understanding of procurement systems and project management.
  • Demonstrate an ability to assimilate health and safety construction site issues procedures.

About the course

This course has been developed to meet your specific company requirements in surveying. You will need at least four delegates for it to run effectively. The course workshops are then built and timed around your company timetable.

Fees

The cost of the programme is dependent on a number of factors; therefore this will be negotiated and agreed with the client. A guide price of the programme is £1,800 per candidate depending on cohort numbers.

Course length

The course is 25 weeks of in-company learning and 15 days of taught work spread over an agreed period.
