People: The industry's most important resource? - 28 February 2013
28 February 2013
Join us as the topic of whether the industry truly values its people as their greatest asset is publicly debated at the 5th Annual James Cuthbert Memorial Quarry Question Time.
There is a belief that people make the critical difference between an organisation's success or failure and that effectiveness with which organisations manage, develop, motivate and engage the willing contribution of their people is a key indicator of how these organisations perform.
Taking this into account, during a period where rationalisation is 'the name of the game', do we feel that the industry truly values its people as their greatest asset?
Debating the evening's topic of 'People: The industry's most important resource?' will be a panel of experts including:
- Peter Huxtable - Panel Chairman (Secretary, The British Aggregates Association)
- Roy Bush (HM Inspector of Quarries)
- Heather Wheeler (Member of Parliament for South Derbyshire)
- Peter Barkwill (Chairman IQ & Managing Director, John Wainwright & Company Ltd)
- Phil James (Executive Director, IQ)
