Postgraduate and professional courses

Masters away day to Scalford Hall

Taught postgraduate courses

You'll usually need an undergraduate degree for one of these courses, which include postgraduate certificates, postgraduate diplomas and masters degrees.

Most of them are modular, so you can build up credits at a pace to suit you.

Most masters degrees are broken down into stages, so you achieve interim qualifications along the way - postgraduate certificate then postgraduate diploma.

Generally you'll build on the knowledge you gained in your undergraduate degree, but some postgraduate courses allow you to change direction as you don't need any prior knowledge.

Professional courses and qualifications

You don't usually need an undergraduate degree for these courses. They are for people who have experience of working in a specialist area and help you to further your career and enhance your CV.

They are often internationally recognised qualifications accredited by professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Institute of Acoustics or British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.
