When to apply

We consider applications for postgraduate taught degrees and professional courses throughout the year, but we recommend applying at least six weeks before your expected start date.

You can apply for a research degree at any time of the year.

Apply directly to the University for all professional and postgraduate courses, apart from PGCE, GTP, ACCA, CIMA, CIPS and CIM courses.

You can apply online here.

As part of your application you will need to complete a personal statement.

ACCA, CIMA, CIPS, and CIM courses

PGCE courses

You need to apply online through the Graduate Teacher Training Registry (GTTR).

Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP)

Application to the programme is a joint one between yourself and a local school where you'll be employed as an unqualified teacher during your training period.

You need to apply online through the Training and Development Agency (TDA) for Schools.

Postgraduate research degrees

Will I be interviewed?

Most suitable applicants will be called for interview. This gives us the opportunity to explore your academic experience and knowledge of specific subjects.
