World Education Council (WEC)

WEC's philosophy, which forms the backbone of its action and activities, is 'Service to Students'. From this philosophy springs an environment that provides highly relevant industry related programmes, state of the art practice support facilities and highly interactive academic and administrative staff members that are sensitive to the needs of the students.

The education mission is to provide career orientated education, which serves the needs of industry by preparing qualified graduates in chosen fields of employment within industry and commerce.

Programmes

The following programmes are currently running at World Education Council:

• Master of Business Administration
• BA (Hons) Business Management (Top-up)
• BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Top-up)

Enrolment

Students apply to World Education Council and enrol in January, April, July and October.  Student application and enrolment data is forwarded to UoD for input into the UoD Student Records System and a letter providing login details to the University's online virtual learning enviroment (UDO), web links to the UDo Student Guide (inc useful contacts) and the Universities 'Rights, Responsibilities and Regulations' document along with student ID cards are sent to the students.

Assessment

Student results are considered at assessment boards that take place in June and December.  The Assessment Board considers student progression and award.

Award Ceremonies

Awarding students attend an Award Ceremony held at World Education Council in February.
