In late January we hosted the annual kit destroying exercise for outdoor and adventure students in Macclesfield.
Provided by Campfour, an outdoor equipment provider based in Macclesfield, and in conjunction with Lyon equipment representatives, students were given the opportunity to see the pressure which climbing and mountaineering equipment can be put under and what happens when this threshold is exceeded!
Whilst providing a chance for the students to destroy various pieces of kit, the evening also allows students to discuss with Lyon equipment the current developments in climbing equipment and the challenges that are faced in innovation and design.
