Virtual events and open days

Our online virtual events and open days give you the opportunity to find out more about online learning and whether it’s right for you. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and meet other potential students who might be interested in the same course as you.

Attend a virtual event

Our virtual events give you the chance to experience Blackboard Collaborate, the same technology used by our online tutors to run live classroom sessions on all of our courses.  You’ll need internet access and you might want to consider a microphone and camera.  Or you can simply ask questions via text chat, which is similar to writing a short email or sending a text on your phone.

Our next virtual event is on Wednesday 19 June from 6-7pm (UK) time when we will be focussing on our BSc (Hons) Psychology online degree.  Reserve your place using the booking form below.

Visit us in real life

We hold open days at the Kedleston Road campus in Derby throughout the year and you’ll find our Online Learning stand in the atrium between 10am and 3pm.  You can discuss the course you are interested in with our Online Tutors and ask our Online Learning Advisors for guidance about your application.

Change of plans?

If you can’t attend an open day or virtual event, simply email us as soon as you know.  If you do miss one of our virtual events, we can send you a link to a recorded version which you can access in your own time and contact us if you need further information.
