Supervisory Practice and Evaluation within an Organisational Context
Following on from the theory and skills studied in the first trimester, we will focus on your personal development in this module – the skills and attitudes required of a senior organisational supervisor. This includes relationship building, problem solving, challenging and goal setting. You'll evaluate your performance as supervisors within an individual, group and organisational level and you'll consider the influence of legal, ethical and professional influences. The module will also focus on supervisors receiving supervision on their own practice, and we'll look at methods for setting up supervisor's supervisory networks. You'll also gain an understanding of the structure and culture of organisations and how this affects supervision. Throughout your study you will be able to take part in discussions and debates with students and staff, through online forums.
