Local support for distance learners
More than 3,000 students from over 100 countries study with the University of Derby Online Learning. Our partners provide local support to students outside of the UK to enhance your distance learning experience.
The University’s quality assurance body inspects each potential partner. We only enter into formal agreements with those that are approved and put our learners at the heart of every partnership.
Our growing network of partners are experts in their field and have a comprehensive knowledge of their local market. Many also have strong relationships with local employers and can offer post degree careers advice. Find out more about our four levels of partnership.
Advanced entry
We have entered into Articulation Agreements with selected partners. This provides students with entry point options on recognised programmes of study.
Agent
These University-appointed representatives act as non-exclusive agents, to promote the University of Derby Online Learning and recruit students from specified geographical areas.
Study centre
As well as fulfilling the role of an Agent, a Study Centre encourages learners to remain engaged throughout their studies, to improve retention and graduation rates. A study centre may also be approved to offer other services including study skills, pastoral and/or English language support.
The University retains full responsibility for all online programmes, including academic guidance. All assessments are undertaken by the university.
Study centre plus
We’ve rigorously assessed these specialist Study Centres and approved them to provide academic guidance and tuition to students via the University’s online learning platform. They may also offer face-to-face tuition at key stages but it is not compulsory to attend or take advantage of these offers.
The University retains full responsibility for all online programmes and assessments.
